Docent Brewing’s San Clemente taproom sits right on Avenida Del Mar in the heart of downtown — and the food has quickly become as much of a draw as the beer. Our kitchen is built around fermentation-forward flavors and house-made everything: the Smash Burger is made entirely in-house, right down to the sauce, pickles, and beer-caramelized onions made from our Grandpappy barrel-aged imperial stout. The beer braised beef Beeria Taco, Al Pastor with spicy pineapple salsa, and Kimchi Taco round out a taco menu you won’t find anywhere else in San Clemente. And the Korean Reuben — pastrami, house kimchi, chile aioli on grilled sourdough — has become one of our most requested dishes.
